Housing is a basic human need, a critical element of high-functioning societies and a crux for a healthy economy. Despite this, housing shortages are a growing issue globally and only expected to worsen in the coming years as a result of rising inflation and interest rates, political instability and environmental crises.
Our Story
3D-bautec was born out of the idea that everyone should have the opportunity to live in a dignified, affordable, and above all, environmentally responsible home. Founder and CEO Nicolas Gresser first began toying with construction alternatives during his time as a student. Interested in the intersection of architecture and business administration, he studied real estate management and quickly witnessed first-hand the compounding issues facing the construction industry [built environment?]. Despite a clear need for housing in his home country, Germany, he observed a lack of skilled construction workers, high interest rates exacerbating a slump in new construction projects, and enormous CO2 emissions from construction industry at large.
